Coming in 2008: Pepperfish Keys, the long-awaited new book in the Barrett Raines mystery series, is being produced as an audio book to be narrated by Dion Graham, who has appeared on "The Wire," "Law and Order" and many other TV shows and movies.

The fourth in this critically applauded "Gulf Noir" series begins as Barrett Raines, the only African-American investigator for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, is denounced by local TV reporter Sharon Fowler for the botched criminal investigation of United States Senator Baxter Stanton. Sharon is working overtime to launch a career on the back of Barrett’s woes. But the ambitious reporter and the besieged cop become unlikely allies when the Senator's daughter is found brutally raped and murdered in her father's mansion on Pepperfish Keys.

The other books in the series have received starred reviews in Publisher's Weekly.
